All I can say is that I’m not surprised. Every time Lane Kiffin goes to a new school, Florida gets falsely accused and then receives an apology.
USC Athletic Director Mike Garrett has apologized to Florida after finding that allegations of improper contact with Baxter were untrue. Alabama, also one of the five schools implied, got a similar letter today.
Once again, a school where Lane Kiffin coaches is apologizing to Florida
In a letter obtained by ESPN’s Joe Schad back in June, USC director of compliance Matt Billings wrote to the Pac-10: “I just met with [Baxter] and he told me that he received phone calls from five institutions [June 10th]. All of the institutions asked if he was interested in transferring from USC due to the NCAA decision. Would you please speak with these schools to remind them they cannot speak to this student athlete?”
Did those phone calls magically disappear? Not sure what all went down here from Baxter’s camp.
